The ‘Gift’ Of Being Different
From very early on young Hazel Mourton realised that she ‘saw’ things very differently to other girls her age. Back then she would do everything she could to suppress that difference while striving to be seen as what she thought was ‘normal’.
Being quiet and withdrawn with a reticence to communicate earned her the nickname ‘Nod’, within her family circle, it wouldn’t be until many years later, after being confronted by, and successfully coming through, cancer that she would find her true calling.
Disillusioned with life in the corporate world and unable to reconcile conflicting ethical values, Hazel’s life is thrown into turmoil by the premature loss of her 30-year-old son in tragic circumstances.
While struggling through the mourning process, a series of ‘co-incidences’, would lead to her turning the very thing that made her different into a ‘gift’ that had always been there, waiting in the wings, for its chance to shine.
This is both an inspirational and enlightening story in how listening to your inner voice, trusting the inner wisdom it contains, and allowing access to the serendipitous nature of synchronicity can take you down a path that may
help fulfil your life in ways you never thought possible.
‘In The Land of Nod’ will open your eyes, your heart and your mind to the possibilities that exist when you trust enough to take that leap of faith to turn what you have dared to dream into reality.
